Samantha Snyder is a mixed media artist who was born and raised in the Central Valley of California. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a BS in Psychology and later her teaching certification, she spent the next several years teaching elementary school in Texas. She then decided to devote more time to her artistic aspirations. Samantha completed her Associate of Fine Arts in Visual Studies at Snow College where she participated in several group exhibitions and three solo shows, Hail Mary, Handling Chaos and Far Away, In the West. She is currently working on an MFA in Studio Art at BYU. Her artwork is greatly inspired by her and her family’s time residing in the Pacific West. Her work consists of a variety of media, including collage, artists books and prints. Samantha currently lives in Utah Valley with her husband and 3 children.
